The Strategy – day 2
Wednesday, November 30th, 2005
Today was infinitely more interesting than day one using the short stack NL strategy. I loaded up 4 checknraise tables, and 2 doyle’s room tables(checknraise limits you to 4 tables). After about 1 hr 20 minutes of play I was up $12 at check n raise… and $101 at Doyle’s room

$185 the Hard Way
Tuesday, November 29th, 2005
So last night I decided to get a head start on my December plans and get everything up and running for Party 10/20. I datamined ten tables for a few hours, then fired up PA HUD and imported the Party 6-max layout and graphics. With one table open, I fiddled around with the layout and [...]

The Nit Strategy
Tuesday, November 29th, 2005
All credit for this goes to “TheNajdorfDefens” on The Motley Fool’s On Tilt poker message board. This is a no limit strategy that is probably pretty similar to Ed Miller’s short stack NL strategy in his beginning poker book(but I haven’t read that so I don’t know how similar). Playing a [...]

Long Weekend
Monday, November 28th, 2005
Well, I took my shot at 30-60 over the weekend and ended up down after swinging up and down about $4k. Can’t say I am happy about how it turned out, but I guess it could have gone worse. I had a tough session last night where I had some brutal beats – but that’s [...]

post-holiday update
Monday, November 28th, 2005
People actually like pokerroom and their skins? Which tables? Anyone?
This was a baaaad holiday, poker wise at least. You see, my parents aren’t in the best health in the world so there’s a lot of downtime, and my wife and son go to bed long before I do many nights, espicially [...]

Some Datamining Information
Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005
I have logged two datamining sessions in anticipation of my move back to Party and the numbers are fairly interesting for the 10/20 game (filtered for 4 or more players):
hands: 14,569
raked: 12,211 (84%)
players: 5.36
saw flop: 39.3% (this seems low compared to Stars where I can usually find 45+)
total rake: $28,647.50
avg rake: $2.35
avg pot: $128.84
raked as [...]

Woohoo Crypto!
Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005
I ended up staying home from work today which is good, and we have gotten most of our stuff done to get ready for the Thanksgiving trip, so I had a couple of hours to kill, and finally had some money available to go hit a crypto site.
In just about 1 1/2 hours [...]

More bonus chasing, hi ho hi ho
Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005
I finished the Empire bonus up about $12 before the $100 bonus, which is good considering how much of that time I spent in the hole. Gaming Club is currently running a 50% to $100, 500 raked hands. Cleared pretty quickly at .50/1 NL and ended up $45 before bonus there. Paradise is running [...]

The Joys of Low-Limit Fishing
Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005
Yeah, it’s been a while since I posted. Truthfully, I’ve had way too much shit going on in my life, but I’m still getting some play in here and there. Definitely bringing up the rear here, though, considering the company I’m keeping.
At any rate, I’ve been doing some low-level bonus whoring lately, and after a [...]
