Two key hands
Thursday, July 28th, 2005
I plan on making a large post(s) with a number of hands over on FOFC which I’ll link to later on, but for now, the first hand here was a very tough decision for me. I ended up timing out b/c I had burned my time bank earlier, but I was leaning towards folding when [...]

Money800
Wednesday, July 27th, 2005
I just pulled off what was by far my best poker outing ever. I entered tonight’s $11 rebuy tourney on pokerstars. I’ll get the hand histories and post a more detailed report later, but, quick recap: I outlasted 1280 opponents to finish 2nd in the tournament. I invested $51 [...]

FOPT Official Tour Stop #12
Friday, July 22nd, 2005
The Front Office Poker Tour hits stop #12 tonight:
Party Poker $10+$1
Party Poker Million Super Satellite
10:15pm EDT
We’re rapidly approaching stop #15, which is the end of the first season. I’m planning to do have us do a semi-large MTT for stop #15, something fun and challenging.
For those not familiar with the FOPT, we’re doing something similar [...]

All Quiet on the Poker Front
Thursday, July 21st, 2005
Been pretty quiet for me on the poker end of things lately. I finished the latest Empire bonus up $37 + $100 bonus, which was nice, but I admittedly was very happy to finish doing the limit play. I’m just not in the mood lately.
I finished the first of 4 Poker Stars bonuses and [...]

Phew..
Monday, July 18th, 2005
So the 10/20 experiment is over. I never got completely comfortable there, and despite my bankroll, the amount of money *did* matter to me. I also think the ultra-aggressive style of some players was wearing on me and I ended up adopting the same style, but with less optimal results. In the end I finished [...]

I mean, damn….
Sunday, July 17th, 2005
First of all, this is *NOT* a whining post. I refuse to whine about bad beats. My windows and computer are intact, and I didn’t type a single curse word into the chat boxes during any of these hands. Emotionally, I am totally at peace with these kinds of hands, and rest assured [...]

MTT Progress?
Sunday, July 17th, 2005
No monetary progress here, but I feel the best I’ve ever felt about my multi-table tournament play. I’m almost done with Harrington’s 2nd volume, and I am starting to actually feel comfortable with many situations in MTTs where I previously felt like I was guessing, or was baffled. As the blinds go [...]

Simms: The Suckout Artist
Saturday, July 16th, 2005
$10+$1 Pokerstars SnG. Down to 4, blinds at 100-200. I get AA, Simms goes all-in before me, I call. He shows 44 and then promptly sees a flop of 44x. He then proceeds to finish me off when my K9d doesn’t hit versus his AQo.
To be fair, he then promptly took 3 very bad beats [...]

I’m a fish too!
Friday, July 15th, 2005
Mali doesn’t get to be the only loser around here. Since everyone else has come out of the woodwork to post, I should too.
I haven’t played poker in over a week now. After running up $1700 very quickly in early June, I got sucked into 5/10 6m(a game which I know I can [...]

A new kind of crappy day for me
Thursday, July 14th, 2005
SnG style, baby! As I try and work off my Poker Stars bonuses, I think I played 20 some $15+$1 SnGs today and had a nice 11 OoTM streak and lost $183. I guess someone in the blog has to be the fish.
